Roller screens are used predominantly for the primary screening and cleaning as well as coarse sizing of dirty feed materials in primary crushing and mobile systems. Feed material is screened in the size range from 30 to 250 mm, at a throughput rate up to 3500 t/h.
Depending on the feed material to be processed and installation conditions, roller screens are individually configured and manufactured in respect of their length, width and gap width.
With the use of roller screens in the first screening stage, very good separation of the rock and clayey and marly material is effected. This is mainly due to the fact that a roller grate cannot stick and clog.
Triangular and round disks are mounted to the square shafts of the roller screen. The special arrangement of the triangular disks causes the feed material to be rotated, and consequently transported and loosened up, separating it from wet and other difficult-to-remove materials.
An optimum cleaning effect is achieved by the stepped arrangement of two roller screens.
